Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival announces First Feature competition line-up

In a few weeks we’ll be heading north and to Estonia for this year’s Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival where the line-up for this year’s First Feature competition line-up has been announced.

The selection includes 11 world premieres and 5 international premieres, and all of the authors are present in Tallinn.

According to Festival Director, Tiina Lokk, the 16-film competition strand is an assorted global programme with outstanding artistic value. “Each year, First Feature Competition is something truly special. We can’t wait to introduce these emerging talents to the world.”, she adds.

The First Feature Competition programme curator, Triin Tramberg, elaborates: “Every debut work form this year’s programme has a very solid and distinctive director’s handwriting. As all of the films include memorable stories, each one of them is an audience film with distribution value.”

Black Nights Film Festival holds its 27th edition in 2023 and runs from November 3-19 in Tallinn, Tartu and Ida-Viru region, Estonia. The full programmes of films will be announced on the 27th of October.
