Netflix has unveiled the full trailer for Maestro, the Bradley Cooper-directed biopic of composer Leonard Bernstein. Cooper also plays the lead role of Bernstein in the film which is due on Netflix from 20th December after a brief cinema run.
The film is the love story chronicling the lifelong relationship between cultural icon Leonard Bernstein and Felicia Montealegre Cohn Bernstein. According to the press notes, the film is a love letter to life and art; an emotionally epic portrayal of family and love.
The film also stars Carey Mulligan as Montealegre, Matt Bomer, Maya Hawke, and Sarah Silverman. It premiered at this year’s Venice festival and I’ve head some really can’t wait to see it.
The likes f Martin Scorsese and Steven Spielberg have been attached to direct in the past, and the two are listed as producers on the feature.
Maestro plays in select cinemas from 22nd November.
