The Killers of the Flower Moon digital release has been confirmed and it is earlier than you may think with Martin Scorsese’s latest film arriving this very week. The Cannes-debuting period crime drama will be available to rent or buy digitally in over 100 countries from 5th December in collaboration with Paramount, reports Deadline. The debut will come ahead of a release on AppleTV+ at a later date.
Leonardo DiCaprio, Lily Gladstone and Robert De Niro lead the cast alongside Jesse Plemons, Tantoo Cardinal, Cara Jade Myers, JaNae Collins and Jillian Dion.
Directed by Martin Scorsese and written for the screen by Eric Roth and Martin Scorsese, based on David Grann’s best-selling book of the same name, Killers of the Flower Moon is set in 1920s Oklahoma and depicts the serial murder of members of the oil-wealthy Osage Nation, a string of brutal crimes that came to be known as the Reign of Terror.
Hailing from Apple Studios, Killers of the Flower Moon was produced alongside Imperative Entertainment, Sikelia Productions and Appian Way and distributed theatrically in partnership with Paramount Pictures. Producers are Dan Friedkin, Bradley Thomas, Martin Scorsese, and Daniel Lupi, with Leonardo DiCaprio, Rick Yorn, Adam Somner, Marianne Bower, Lisa Frechette, John Atwood, Shea Kammer and Niels Juul serving as executive producers.
The film, directed by Scorsese, has been universally applauded and is set to feature heavily in the upcoming awards season. The Killers of the Flower Moon digital release will be made available on all of the usual online retail outlets.
