Ozark and The Assistant star Julia Garner has signed up to star in the Wolf Man film for filmmaker Leigh Whannell over at Universal Pictures. The film already has Christopher Abbott leading the cast of the film which is set to start production soon.
Invisible Man director Leigh Whannell is helming the picture for the studio and the new casting of Garner comes from The Hollywood Reporter.
The trade says that ‘Garner will play a mother whose family is being terrorized by a lethal predator. Abbott is playing the father.’
The film united Abbot and Garner who appeared in Martha, Marcy, May, Marlene back in 2011. Since then, Garner has appeared in the hugely successful Netflix series Ozark and the superb indie The Assistant.
The film is set for release in October 2024 with Jason Blum producing and Leigh Whannell directing.
The Wolf Man film is being produced by Jason Blum and already has a Halloween 2024 release dates set; specifically October 25th in the U.S. at least.
Garner was most recently seen in the 2023 release The Royal Hotel which gained huge acclaim.
