Ryan Gosling will perform “I’m Just Ken” at the Oscars

Variety is reporting that Ryan Gosling is to perform the Academy Award-nominated track “I’m Just Ken” at this year’s Oscars. The actor will be live on track at the awards ceremony on 10th March, so says the trade.

Gosling is himself up for an Oscar for his acting in Barbie, from which the song is taken. “I’m Just Ken” is just one of two songs nominated in the same category for Best Original Song at the Oscars, the 96th edition of the awards, the other being  “What Was I Made For?” by Billie Eilish and Finneas.

The awards, which will take place in just under two weeks, honour the best in movies and shorts from the past 12 months with Christopher Nolan’s Oppenheimer leading the way with a whopping thirteen nominations. Poor Things, Yorgos Lanthimos’ wonderful dark comedy is next in line with eleven nods and then Martin Scorsese’s Killers of the Flower Moon with ten.

Lots of coverage on the site as we approach the big day.
