Just last night, the brilliant Da’Vine Joy Randolph won Best Supporting Actress at the Oscars for her role in Alexander Payne’s The Holdovers. While available on digital in the UK, the film isn’t yet available on the physical formats but we do have new information on when the release will be.
The Holdovers has had a UK DVD, 4K and Blu-ray confirmed for 22nd April through Dazzler Media, according to an official release from the distributor.
From acclaimed director Alexander Payne, the film follows a curmudgeonly instructor (Paul Giamatti) at a New England prep school who is forced to remain on campus during Christmas break to babysit the handful of students with nowhere to go. Eventually, he forms an unlikely bond with one of them — a damaged, brainy troublemaker (newcomer Dominic Sessa) — and with the school’s head cook, who has just lost a son in Vietnam (Da’Vine Joy Randolph).
