He’s riding high from his hit Prime Video series Reacher and an appearance in the last ‘Fast and Furious’ and now Alan Ritchson is to star opposite screen legend Arnold Schwarzenegger for seasonal action comedy The Man With The Bag.
The project is set up at Amazon MGM Studios and Deadline reports that Adam Shankman is lined up to direct the film for the studio. Allan Rice wrote the script.
The trade says that the film’s logline is as follows:
When Santa’s magic bag is stolen, he turns to his naughty list to find Vance, a former thief, to help him get it back. Along with his daughter, Santa, and a group of misfit elves, Vance will have to pull off the greatest heist of his life to save Christmas.
There’s no official word on who is playing which part in the film but it is presumed that Arnie is Santa. Please let that be so.
