Hereditary, Midsommar and Beau Is Afraid filmmaker Ari Aster has announced his next project. Described as a modern-day western, the film is set during the pandemic where a couple run out of gas outside the town of Eddington, which is also the title of the feature.
The film is set up at A24 who revealed the cast and start of production on their Instagram page.
Aster has assembled quite the cast for his movie with Joaquin Phoenix, Emma Stone, Pedro Pascal, Austin Butler, Luke Grimes, Deirdre O’Connell, Micheal Ward, and Clifton Collins Jr. all confirmed to star.
Stone and Phoenix play the couple at the heart of the story. Their breakdown in the mysterious town goes south when the sun goes down and a more sinister side to the place and its inhabitants emerges.
More on this as it comes in.
