We have a logline for the film along with the Nosferatu trailer which reads as follows:
Robert Eggers’ NOSFERATU is a gothic tale of obsession between a haunted young woman and the terrifying vampire infatuated with her, causing untold horror in its wake.
The movie is produced by Jeff Robinov, John Graham, Chris Columbus, p.g.a., Eleanor Columbus, p.g.a., Robert Eggers, p.g.a.
The first Nosferatu film dates all of the way back to 1922 with Max Schreck as Count Orlok. F. W. Murnau directed that movie which was of German origin. There have been many iterations over the years that have followed but, of course, the original movie was itself indeed based on the classic novel ‘Dracula’ by Bram Stoker.
As you can see from the new Nosferatu trailer, the brilliant Bill Skarsgård appears as Count Orlok. Eggers has had the film in the works for many years, and was, at one time meant to be his second film following the release of the acclaimed The Witch. Instead he ended up going the critically acclaimed The Lighthouse. This new film will be his fourth feature film as director. Filming took place at the famous Barrandov Studios in Prague as well as other locations in the first part of 2023.
There is a little wait until the new film is released with a 3rd January 2025 date set by Universal Pictures (UK) with stateside audiences getting to see the film in the prime Christmas Day 2024 slot.
