A first trailer for the A24 horror movie Heretic has landed online. The film has Hugh Grant in the lead role and comes to the screen from writer/ directors Scott Beck and Bryan Woods. Sophie Thatcher and Chloe East round out the main cast.
This one looks really good. Grant plays a man who traps two young Mormon missionaries (East and Thatcher) in his house before putting them through a series of psychological games.
The movie is slotted to arrive in cinemas later this year with an autumn U.S. release mentioned on the YouTube page in which the video was released just yesterday.
Filmmakers Beck and Woods are best known for co-writing the sensational horror movie A Quiet Place from director John Krasinski which itself gets a prequel in cinemas this week with A Quiet Place: Day One.
Here’s the Heretic trailer for your viewing pleasure.
