This New Line project, starring Steve Carell as the magician-in-decline title character of BURT WONDERSTONE, has a fantastic cast attached. Joining Carell as rival up-and-coming illusionist, and the man who Wonderstone considers to be his undoing, is Jim Carrey. The ACE VENTURA star will appear as Steve Haines. The plot will focus on these two performers with what will effectively be ‘Derren Brown wipes the floor with Paul Daniels’ played for laughs. Here we have our first glimpse from the set, of a cool, long-haired Jim Carrey as the Las Vegas showman, Haines.
The rest of the cast is made up of Olivia Wilde, Steve Buscemi, James Gandolfini, Alan Arkin and Jay Mohr with 30 ROCK regular, Don Scardino directing.
