Steven Soderbergh has a couple of new movies coming out over the next few months. One is the genre film Presence, which we’ve covered the build up to extensively on the site, while the other is the star-laden Black Bag, a trailer for which has just dropped.
The film is led by Michael Fassbeneder and Cate Blanchett who play a husband and wife who are also legendary intelligence agents. Blanchette is Kathryn Woodhouse who is suspected of betraying the nation. Husband George faces the ultimate test – loyalty to his marriage or his country.
Marisa Abela, Tom Burke, Naomie Harris, Regé-Jean Page, and Pierce Brosnan round out the cast.
This sounds like Soderbergh back in his fun ‘Oceans’ field of play.
Black Bag will be released by Universal Pictures in the UK on 14th March, so not too long to wait.
