Danny Dyer on ‘testing role’ for upcoming new movie

The film in question is titled ‘Three Quick Breaths’.

Danny Dyer has revealed that he has scored a role in a brand new concept movie where he will be the only actor in the cast.

Speaking on his podcast Live and Let Dyers, the Rivals stars said: “I had to have a medical for a job, of course, for my job that I start this month,” he says. “I’m going to Dublin. It’s a film called Three Quick Breaths. I can’t talk too much about it. It’s a really mad concept.”

Cast as the only character in the film, Danny likens the role to that of Colin Farrell’s character in 2002’s crime thriller Phonebooth. “Again, I won’t go too into it, but a bit like Phonebooth, Colin Farrell,” he teases. “Anyone seen that film? Quite a clever idea.”

Phone Booth, released back in 2002 and directed by the late Joel Schmacher, revolved around Colin Farrell’s character who found himself stuck in a telephone box in Times Square with a sniper trained on him threatening to shoot if he hangs up.

“Even though I’ve been acting for so long anyway, this is something that’s going to be a real test for me,” Dyer added.

Dyer can currently be seen in Disney+ series Rivals and will next be up on the big screen in a collaboration with Nick Love, director of The Business, for Marching Powder.
