Check out this new clip from Pablo Larraín’s new film Maria, a film charting the final days of celebrated opera singer Maria Callas. Angelina Jolie leads the cast as the title character in a the new movie which re-teams Larraín with his Spencer screenwriter Steven Knight.
The film was release in December on Netflix stateside but UK audiences can catch the film in cinemas rom today through STUDIOCANAL. We’re only a few days in but this is one of my favourite films I’ve seen this year with the filmmaker and specifically Jolie on top form – the latter in a career best performance.
Maria tells the tumultuous, beautiful, and tragic story of the life of the world’s greatest female opera singer, relived, and reimagined during her final days in 1970s Paris.
