Deadline is reporting that Colman Domingo will play the game show host in the brand new version of The Running Man which is currently shooting with Glenn Powell leading the cast.
Edgar Wright is directing the new adaptation of the Stephen King (writing as Richard Bachman) novel which was first published back in 1982.
The story revolves around a dangerous gameshow where contestants are hunted by ruthless hunters. Powell plays the hunted who participates in the show to save his ill daughter.
Josh Brolin, Karl Glusman, Katy O’Brian and Daniel Ezra are also among the cast which is set up at Paramount Pictures.
Michael Bacall co-wrote the screenplay for the film which is heading for a November 2025 release.
