The digital and physical home release details for last year’s Berlinale opener, Small Things Like These have been revealed.
The Cillian Murphy-led film will be available on digital from 20th January and then on DVD and Blu-ray from 3rd February, all according to a brand new press release from UK distributors Lionsgate.
The official synopsis is as follows:
Oscar® winner Cillian Murphy delivers a stunning performance as devoted father Bill Furlong in this film based on the best-selling novel of the same name by Claire Keegan. While working as a coal merchant to support his family, he discovers disturbing secrets kept by the local convent — and uncovers truths of his own — forcing him to confront his past and the complicit silence of a small Irish town controlled by the Catholic Church.

Small Things Like These might indeed be small in scale compared to the colossal box-office juggernaut that was Murphy’s previous work as an actor, but this brooding drama and his nuanced, softly spoken performance is sure to stick with you for days after the credits roll. A subtle, engrossing, and at times heartbreaking and thought-provoking adaptation of the source material.
