The Accountant 2 will make its debut at this March’s SXSW festival in Austin, Texas. The film sequel will play at the event, according to an official press released from Amazon MGM Studios who have also released a first-look still.
Ben Affleck, Jon Bernthal, Cynthia Addai-Robinson, Daniella Pineda, Allison Robertson
and J.K. Simmons lead the cast.
Gavin O’Connor returns to direct the movie, a follow-up to the 2016 hit. I just looked back at the review of that movie – which it appears that I liked.
Violent from the outset, the film won’t appeal to everyone’s tastes. The story is a little predictable in places and the acting very wooden in others, but The Accountant is fresh, entertaining fun that I personally had a great time with.
Might be worth a rewatch ahead of this one landing in April.
The synopsis for the sequel reads:
Christian Wolff is brought out of hiding by Treasury Agent Marybeth Medina after someone close to them is killed by unknown assassins. To solve the murder, Wolff must recruit the help of his estranged but highly lethal brother Brax.
The Accountant 2 opens on screens on 25th April.
