Lillard And Eastwood Set For ‘Trouble With The Curve’

Matthew Lillard has been making a subtle comeback trail of late, he’s currently starring impressively in award-season favourite THE DESCENDANTS and is now being lined up for a role opposite Clint Eastwood in TROUBLE WITH THE CURVE. Robert Lorenz is taking the directors chair for his debut but is no stranger to Eastwood, having worked numerous times on his films ranging from ABSOLUTE POWER right through to MILLION DOLLAR BABY.

Newcomer Randy Brown has written the screenplay which is planned to feature Lillard as a baseball scout opposite Eastwood. TROUBLE WITH THE CURVE is based around Eastwood’s character, an aging scout coping with blindness who is on a trip to Atlanta to evaluate a player. Early rumours put Amy Adams in a role as the legends daughter but with many things still to be confirmed, a few names might be in the hat for these up-coming roles as this isn’t expected for release until the early half of 2013.
