The ‘found-footage’ genre looks to be evolving of late. The format has usually been used by the horror and thriller genres. Now the next few weeks alone, we have Josh Trank’s CHRONICLE, a superhero-turned-psycho tale as well as the comedy PROJECT X, directed by Nima Nourizadeh, and with THE HANGOVER’s Todd Phillips serving as producer.
The plot surrounds the exploits of a group of ‘geeky’ high-school kids and their attempts at organising a major party whilst their parents are not home. As you can imagine (and certainly from the looks of this new trailer), things surprisingly go according to plan – just way bigger and a lot more serious than they ever could have imagined! PROJECT X is released in cinemas 2nd March and stars Miles Teller, Oliver Cooper, Jonathan Daniel Brown, Kirby Bliss Blanton, Dax Flame, Nichole O’Connor, Thomas Mann, Alexis Knapp and Jillian Reynolds.
