According to reports this morning, British television presenter Jonathan Ross is switching over to ITV in a new £1.5 million deal. Ross, who was the highest paid British TV presenter on a reported £18 million three year deal will front a chat show for the channel.
Ross has agreed to a one-year deal with the commercial broadcaster understood to be worth around £1.5million – albeit for presenting fewer shows. The 49-year-old, who is leaving the BBC this month, is taking a break from broadcasting for around a year. He is currently working on a comic book but is expected to begin filming an 18-part ITV chat show in autumn 2011.
