The always watchable Guy Pearce’s latest feature will see him headline the science-fiction and action extravaganza LOCKOUT. Joining Pearce, will be TAKEN and FASTER star Maggie Grace. The actress will appear as the Presidents daughter Emilie Warnock, who while on a routine visit to a maximum security prison in outer-space, finds her life in danger when a riot breaks out, leaving her at the mercy of rapists, murderers and psychopaths. It is up to ‘Snow’, a wrongly convicted former government agent, offered the chance at freedom; if he can return her safely back to earth. The film, directed by James Mather and Stephen St. Ledger and co-scripted by Luc Besson, is best described as homage the John Carpenter’s classic ESCAPE FROM NEW YORK and its sequel ESCAPE FROM L.A. The rest of the cast is made up of Peter Stormare, Joseph Gilgun, Lennie James and Vincent Regan. LOCKOUT has possibly been overshadowed by Pearce’s role in Ridley Scott’s PROMETHEUS, but there is no denying it looks a whole heap of fun!
