According to genre website SuperHeroHype.net, The Avengers, the ensemble Marvel superhero movie, is set to start shooting under the watchful eye of director Joss Whedon in February 2011.
The film will see Robert Downey Jr. star as Iron Man, Chris Evans as Captain America, Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye, Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury, Mark Ruffalo as Hulk, Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow and Clark Gregg as Agent Phil Coulson.
The film already has a May 4, 2012 release date set by Marvel and studio Paramount Pictures.
