Back in May of last year, Cannes screened 15 minutes of Kevin MacDonald’s MARLEY but, finally, it’s nearly set for a limited release this month. The documentary is a definitive account of the one of the most influential musicians and icons of the 20th century, Bob Marley. I recall his music echoing through the house when I was younger and his name but his history is something that everyone should take notice of.
His social and political impact through his music is quite unrivalled when it comes to genuinely affecting the changing the world around him and his music continues to impact culture and society everywhere. MARLEY documents and reveals a look into Marley’s life in ways that have never been seen before in the public eye.
