Steven Seagal says that Sylvester Stallone wants him for THE EXPENDABLES 3.
The UNDER SIEGE (1992) star has said that Stallone “plans to do another one and I have already been made an offer. We’ll see…”
Fans were hoping that he would join the dream cast for this year’s EXPENDABLES 2 but it was not to be. So news that he would possibly be joining the ranks of Arnie, Willis, Li, Lundgren, Statham, Van Damme, Norris and indeed Stallone for the third installment will be music to the ears of straight-to-video action fans the world over.
Co-star Randy Couture recently claimed that the third in the daft and enjoyable franchise will likely start filing this autumn, which is straight after number two hits the big screen. The series will hopefully have legs now that the rating is back up to R instead of PG-13.
And if we do get a third, who else could join the fun? I’m holding out for Dwayne Johnson and Nicolas Cage, who would surely revel in the testosterone charged japery. Plus it’s not like they ever say no to work, is it?
THE EXPENDABLES 2 is directed by Simon West and explodes into cinemas on the 17th of August.
