Earlier today, we reported that Michael Madsen would return for another stint in the corrupt, sleazy streets of Basin City. Robert Rodriguez and Frank Miller’s (not forgetting Tarantino’s scene) joint directed and visually stunning hit, has finally been given the green-light for a follow-up. Now we’re expecting to hear pretty quickly, which characters will return for prequel/sequel SIN CITY: A DAME TO KILL FOR.
Well for starters, THN can confirm Mickey Rourke’s hulking and not-so-handsome anti-hero Marv, will return alongside Madsen’s Bob. Rodriguez confirmed the Rosario Dawson’s leather-clad hooker Gail, will also make an appearance in the film. Clive Owen’s character Dwight McCarthy features prominently in Miller’s original story on which the new film will be based, however he does have a whole new face in the graphic-novel, making his involvement hazy at best.

Rourke is all excited to come back, but he’s probably the first one. I saw Rosario [Dawson] too. I ran into her for something else, and she’s pumped. They’ve always been excited about doing another one, so that will be fun.
