First clip arrives for Rowan Joffe’s Brighton Rock

We have fantastic first clip from the upcoming adaptation of the classic Graham Greene book Brighton Rock, courtesy of the folks at Cinematical/ The Playlist. The film marks the directorial debut of scripter Rowan Joffe, and follows the odd relationship between a young thug (Sam Riley) on the rise in the British underground and a tea room waitress (Andrea Riseborough) who witnesses a crime he has committed.

The film also stars John Hurt and Dame Helen Mirren.

Brighton Rock is yet to secure a distribution deal, but it is set to premiere at the 35th Toronto International Film Festival, which is now running.
