Downfall helmer Oliver Hirschbiegel is set to direct The Dark Side of The Moon, a new thriller based on the bestselling novel by Swiss author Martin Suter. David Marconi, who penned the fourth Die Hard movie is writing the screenplay.
Variety reports that “the story centers on a successful attorney whose life is turned upside down after a mind-opening mushroom trip. Realizing that all he has strived for has ceased to make sense, he begins to withdraw from society. The novel has been translated into eight languages.”
Shooting will take place, notably Switzerland, France and Germany next Spring.
