Natalie Portman can now add ‘gunslinging cowgirl’ to her CV as she has signed up for the lead in Wild West drama JANE GOT A GUN. The actress is no stranger to varied roles, having recently starred in superhero flick THOR, Ashton Kutcher rom-com NO STRINGS ATTACHED, and bust-one-out-in-front-of-your-mum psychological drama BLACK SWAN.
Now Portman is moving onto the role of the wife of an outlaw husband who returns home barely alive and riddled with bullet wounds. She is forced to reach out to an ex-lover and ask if he will help defend her farm when her husband’s gang eventually tracks him down to finish the job.
The script, written by Brian Duffield, was included on this years Black List and has started a bidding war between studios at Cannes. WE NEED TO TALK ABOUT KEVIN director Lynne Ramsey is attached to helm the project.
