Official Plot Synopsis For ‘The Woman In Black’ Sequel

Hammer Films’ box-office smash THE WOMAN IN BLACK was recently confirmed for the sequel treatment. HARRY POTTER star Daniel Radcliffe took the lead in the tragic tale of widowed lawyer Arthur Kipps. His life is forever changed when tasked with travelling to a remote village to sell the creepy home that has a dark, horrific secret. EDEN LAKE director James Watkins did a decent job in adapting Jane Goldman’s script based on Susan Hill’s famous, terrifying novel.

THN now has confirmation the follow-up will indeed be entitled THE WOMAN IN BLACK: ANGELS OF DEATH, with new official plot synopsis, going as follows.

Seized by the government and converted into a military mental hospital during World War II, the sudden arrival of disturbed soldiers to Eel Marsh Harsh has awoken its darkest inhabitant.  Eve, a beautiful young nurse, is sent to the house to care for the patients but soon realizes she must save them from more than their own demons.  Despite Eve’s efforts to stop her, one by one they fall victim to the Woman in Black.

We’ll bring you cast and director confirmation as soon as they’re announced. FAST GIRLS’ co-writer Jon Croker will pen the screenplay.

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
