In a summer of what I would consider disappointments, here’s one of the most beautiful trailers I’ve seen in years. LIFE OF PI is one of the most well received books of recent years and it has had a long journey to the big screen. Ang Lee was finally chosen as director and it looks as though he was the right choice. The images and music found in this trailer are extraordinary and unique. It’s incredible to see the visuals surpass my own imagination from when I read the book, and the musical score is very emotional.
LIFE OF PI was written by Yann Martel and tells the story of a boy named Pi stranded in a lifeboat with a tiger, an orangutan, a zebra and a hyena.
LIFE OF PI is released in the UK 21st December 2012. It stars Suraj Sharma, Tobey Maguire, Irrfan Khan, and Gérard Depardieu.

Luke likes many things, films and penguins being among them. He's loved films since the age of 9, when STARGATE and BATMAN FOREVER changed the landscape of modern cinema as we know it. His love of film extends to all aspects of his life, with trips abroad being planned around film locations and only buying products featured in Will Smith movies. His favourite films include SEVEN SAMURAI, PASSION OF JOAN OF ARC, IN BRUGES, LONE STAR, GODZILLA, and a thousand others.

It really does!
I was lucky enough to see a preview of the scene on the boat – flying fish – and it was incredibly unique. I don’t know the book but this looks like one hell of an adventure/journey.
Bring it on!

I’ve watched this 10 times today. Really do love it. Will definitely be reading the book again before release.
