It’s ‘The Grand Seduction’ For Kitsch & Gleeson

The French-Canadian film SEDUCING DOCTOR LEWIS had nabbed leads for the forthcoming English-language remake, which has been retitled THE GRAND SEDUCTION. The story will follow a diminishing fishing village’s attempts to persuade a visiting young doctor to stay there permanently, giving a much-needed boost for the formerly thriving town, with their world-renowned business and tourism.

Although a disastrous year as lead in Disney’s flop JOHN CARTER and Peter Berg’s dire BATTLESHIP, Taylor Kitsch looks to be taking steps to rectify things. He’ll play the young doc, alongside one of my all-time favourite actors Brenadan Gleeson. Kitsch has recently joined the cast of war-drama LONE SURVIVOR and will soon be seen in the UK in Oliver Stone’s SAVAGES. Gleeson meanwhile is an actor always in demand after his incredible performance in John Boorman’s 1998 biopic THE GENERAL, caught the eye of Hollywood. He’ll next be seen in Robert Redford’s nail-biting thriller THE COMPANY YOU KEEP.

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
