If you’re looking to be scared witless by a frightener this weekend, chances are the Sam Raimi-produced THE POSSESSION could be the one for you. With the film (directed by Ole Bornadal) released tomorrow, we’ve another couple of creepy clips and a featurette to temp you to visit your local cinema. THE POSSESSION looks as if it could be a fingernail-chewing classic amongst a very crowded sub-genre (at least we hope anyway); it’s another of those ‘based on true events’ stories, but aren’t they all?!
The horror film stars Jeffrey Dean Morgan and Kyra Sedgwick as a couple going through a rough divorce before – literally – all hell is unleashed, when a locked antique box bought at a yard sale becomes the obsession for their young daughter (Natasha Calis).
Check these out… if you dare!

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
