Sam Worthington may have had a few hits, but his charisma seems to have been eaten by the crocodile he faced in ROGUE. With some time to waste before the AVATAR sequels, Worthington is reportedly set to lead the thriller THE RIDERS based on a novel by Tim Winton. The film will see a couple move from Australia to Ireland, but when Worthington goes to meet his wife and son at the airport only his son shows up and is too distraught to speak. Sounds like this could be an enjoyable thriller with a lot of questions to be answered. I still don’t buy Worthington as a leading man, with him in the film he’ll need some sort of sidekick to inject some life to the proceedings. Australian director Robert Connolly will direct, and Charles Dance and Timothy Spall are also set to star.
