Joining the long list of released film stills that look suspiciously like a well-known actor doing something perfectly innocent and minding their own business – here’s a snap of Kenneth Branagh from the upcoming JACK RYAN having a natter on the blower. We can only presume he’s plotting something terrible, seeing as he’s the villain of the film. Saying that, he could just be saying ‘Action’, because he’s the bloomin’ director as well.
Of course, the real star of the movie is Chris Pine who will be playing Ryan, the CIA analyst originally taken from Tom Clancy’s novels. Actors who played Ryan include Ben Affleck, Harrison Ford, and Alec Baldwin.
The new movie – simply titled JACK RYAN (clever that) – will be a prequel to previous films CLEAR AND PRESENT DANGER, THE SUM OF ALL FEARS, and THE HUNT FOR RED OCTOBER. The film will see Ryan forced to go on the run after he’s framed in a terror plot.
JACK RYAN co-stars Keira Knightley and Kevin Costner. It arrives in cinemas December 2013.
