Adele Confirmed For Bond’s ‘Skyfall’ Theme

Acclaimed and multi-award winning artist Adele has now been confirmed as the name who will belt out the latest Bond theme song for the Sam Mendes-directed 23rd 007 outing, SKYFALL. It is also expected she’ll write the tune. Today we’ve also had some cracking character posters showcasing the likes of Ralph Fiennes’ Mallory and new Bond girl Berence Marlohe as Severine (expect more to follow), but after a few whispers over the last week suggesting Adele would indeed pen and perform the track, we can now confirm.

SKYFALL will see Daniel Craig back as the determined superspy, shagging his way through the usual bunch of beauties, while putting a few bullets in some bad guys, all in the name of Her Majesty the Queen. The action-thriller will explode into cinemas 5th October. Javier Bardem, Judi Dench, Ben Whishaw, Helen McCrory, Naomie Harris and Albert Finney also co-star.

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
