We’re just over a week away from the release of the Bond 50 Blu-ray collection, and to celebrate, HMV is taking part is a huge celebration of Her Majesty’s finest. Check out the official press release below!
The seven day Bond Blu-relay arrives at HMV Oxford Street, London, on the final leg of its tour, bringing the golden briefcase carrying the Bond 50 Blu-ray Collection to the store at exactly 10.07am.
Iconic Bond girl Britt Ekland (Mary Goodnight, THE MAN WITH THE GOLDEN GUN) will arrive in style at HMV in the Aston Martin DBS from QUANTUM OF SOLACE, followed by classic villain Richard Kiel (Jaws, MOONRAKER, SPY WHO LOVED ME), who will meet visitors and present one lucky Bond fan with the golden briefcase, signed by all of the participating Bond stars.
The briefcase will have travelled the length of the United Kingdom, having stopped at various Bond locations along the way. These will have included Eilean Donan Castle (THE WORLD IS NOT ENOUGH), Lochgilphead (FROM RUSSIA WITH LOVE), Penbryn Beach (DIE ANOTHER DAY), Nene Valley Railway (OCTOPUSSY, GOLDENEYE), Stoke Park in Buckinghamshire (GOLDFINGER, TOMORROW NEVER DIES) and The Eden Project in Cornwall (DIE ANOTHER DAY), before reaching its final destination in Central London.
During its 900 mile journey, the briefcase will also have been carried and signed by Bond legend Sir Roger Moore Eunice Gayson, Shirley Eaton, Tania Mallet, Academy Award-winning Costume Designer Lindy Hemming, Stunt Coordinator Paul Weston and legendary director John Glen.
The relay is featured on the official home of James Bond, www.007.com.
