Elijah Wood, probably best known as LORD OF THE RINGS hobbit Frodo Baggins, has been cast as a 30 year-old man…who finds out he hasn’t yet finished puberty!
Based on Man Made: A Memoir Of My Body (the ‘true story’ novel written by E! News reporter Ken Baker), Wood will play a man about to turn 30, when it’s revealed that he never really finished puberty. The book actually chronicles Baker’s experience of being diagnosed with a brain tumour, so I’m guessing the tumour prevented him from ‘fully blooming’.
Either way, this sounds like a good indie project – especially as Randall Einhorn (director of numerous episodes of Wood’s current TV series WILFRED) is behind the film. It also helps that Elijah doesn’t seem to age…

Considering Jazmine grew up watching CARRY ON SCREAMING, THE LION KING and JURASSIC PARK on repeat for weeks on end, it made sense for her to study film at London South Bank University. It’s also a good thing that her course requires a lot of sitting down because she’s very accident-prone. When she’s not examining her bruises, she likes pretending that she doesn’t live in Southend-On-Sea and spends hours mindlessly blogging. Favourite films include BLUE VALENTINE, ETERNAL SUNSHINE OF THE SPOTLESS MIND and TOY STORY 2.
