The X-Files Chris Carter To Produce Thriller Series ‘The After’

THE X-FILES creator Chris Creator is set to finance a new drama series with independent TV Studio Georgeville Television. New series THE AFTER will be up for grabs at next weeks MIPCOM TV market, by the recently formed Sierra/Engine Television. In a vein similar to the cult classic X-FILES, this thriller will revolve around an unexplained event and is said to be a mix of sci-fi, suspense with a contemporary twist, which is basically saying this is looking forwards, not back towards past success please!

Georgeville CEO Marc Rosen had this to say about the possible series:

“This is going to be a fantastic ride – one that only Carter could conceive – and the secrets, twists, and turns are a fan’s dream. Chris has woven his mythology magic within a very human, grounded story about the moment when we realize all of our worst fears about the world and its future.”

But that’s not all as GV TV is also backing the relaunch of the classic BLAKE’S 7 with Martin Campbell (CASINO ROYALE) and recently the Wachowski Starship and their new project “Sense8”.

We think there’s a long way to go until we hear anything official from these new shows but we’ll be keeping an eye out to see how THE AFTER gets on.
