THE PLACE BEYOND THE PINES premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival this year. It was one of the big surprises of the festival and is Derek Cianfrance’s follow-up to BLUE VALENTINE. THE PLACE BEYOND THE PINES stars Ryan Gosling as a motorcycle stunt rider turned bank robber, and his feud with police officer turned politician, Bradley Cooper. It received great reviews fro Toronto International Film Festival, and despite it sounding as though this is some kind of sequel to DRIVE where Gosling played a stuntman turned getaway driver, I’m sure Cianfrance will offer something completely new in terms of atmosphere.
Focus Features will release the film on a limited theatrical release come 29th March 2013. It stars Ryan Gosling, Bradley Cooper, Rose Byrne, Eva Mendes, Ray Liotta, Dane DeHaan, and Bruce Greenwood.
