Werner Herzog To Direct Adaptation Of ‘Vernon God Little’

The possessor of the world’s greatest accent, Wener Herzog, is gearing up to direct an adaptation of VERNON GOD LITTLE. VERNON GOD LITTLE is a fascinating novel about a young boy fingered as an accomplice in a high school shooting perpetrated by his best friend. The story looks at the idea of needing someone to blame, and the representation of violence in life and the American media. I think Herzog is the perfect choice for this, as it is going to take someone of his courage to get across the novel’s humour as well as hard hitting subject matter.

Herzog has most recently been involved with a lot of documentaries and will soon be seen in the Tom Cruise action film JACK REACHER.

JACK REACHER is directed by Christopher McQuarrie and stars Tom Cruise, Werner Herzog, Rosamund Pike, David Oyelowo and Robert Duvall. It is scheduled for a UK release on 26th December 2012.
