After Platinum Dunes’ slick (but soulless) reboot double bill THE TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE (2004) and prequel THE TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE: THE BEGINNING (2006), perhaps another cannibalistic feast with the Sawyer clan may not be appetising to most film fans. However, Michael Bay’s notorious production company is not behind John Luessenhop’s forthcoming movie – a direct sequel to Tobe Hooper’s 1974 horror classic – although coming only six years after the last ‘massacre’, could confuse casual viewers.
The plot this time will focus on Alexandra Daddario’s Heather Miller, who travels to Texas with a group of friends to collect an inheritance. They’re in for some horrific shocks when discovering Heather has family ties to the original events and human butcher Leatherface is still knocking around and up to his old tricks.

THE TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE will tear up cinemas 4th January 2013 and co-stars Tania Raymonde, Bill Moseley, Scott Eastwood, Elena Sanchez, Trey Songz and Dan Yeager.
