Spielberg’s LINCOLN back on?

It’s been an on and off project for the director since the middle of the 2000’s and, thanks to folks over at The Reliable Source being very on the ball, we can confirm that Steven Spielberg has been spotted in Virginia, U.S.A and that it may just have something to do with the back-burner project…

There has been no official word why Spielberg was there, but he’s said to be interested in a film about Abraham Lincoln. “I asked a couple members of his entourage if they were making a movie in Richmond and one woman replied ‘maybe,'” said Aaron Ruby, a PR exec who spotted Spielberg as he walked in the front door. A film office spokeswoman wasn’t talking or making comments at that time.

This could be a sign that the project is finally getting off the ground after years in development hiatus. It has long been rumoured that Liam Neeson may star as the iconic President however it has been officially denied by the actors camp.
