After a rumoured troubled shoot that almost put the project in jeopardy, the first teaser footage for rampaging zombie epic WORLD WAR Z arrived today, with some impressive looking action. Brad Pitt stars (and produces) as a UN employee who travels the globe in an attempt to hold off an undead pandemic. The film is based on Max Brooks’ acclaimed novel of a zombie horde that grows by the day, until the majority of the planet becomes the vicious undead. The film is directed by Marc Forster and co-stars James Badge-Dale, David Morse, Eric West, Matthew Fox and Mirelle Enos.
Following that early footage (which we’ll have a more revealing look at on Thursday), we have the first teaser poster which pours scorn on what excited us today, as it’s a rather uninspiring design. Still, it is a teaser and there is time to impress before the 21st June 2013 release.

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
