The lesser sequels and remakes did little to diminish the raw intensity of Tobe Hooper’s controversial classic THE TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE. Director John Luessonhop is the man behind the latest effort, TEXAS CHAINSAW 3D, which will be a direct, modern day-set sequel to the infamous misadventures of the cannibalistic human butcher known as Leatherface and the surviving members of his fucked-up family.
After a pretty effective promotional poster campaign (and a rather lukewarm first trailer), we’re able to bring you this first clip featuring the iconic masked maniac chainsawed-up and on a human hunt.
TEXAS CHAINSAW 3D will be let loose into US cinemas from the 4th January 2013 and 9th January here in the UK.

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
