Jamie Foxx Comments On Maybe Electrifying ‘The Amazing Spider-Man 2’

A few days ago, Andrew Garfield talked about what he wanted to achieve with the upcoming sequel to THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN. Now we have words from Jamie Foxx who seems very likely to be on villain duty as Electro:

“Fingers crossed it all works out, I have a little daughter, four years old, and what’s crazy is like, this past year she had a birthday where Spider-Man was the theme… I haven’t sprung it on her yet, but she will go crazy!”

With Marc Webb seemingly very interested in getting him to sign on and with Foxx himself also very interested, it would be a huge surprise if they couldn’t make it work somehow. Still, Sony Pictures will be looking to start shooting as early as February which could be a possible hindrance if Jamie Foxx’s schedule isn’t clear. Hopefully the story will be a little more exciting than the first one, but with an origin story out of the way and with the storyline regarding his parents still unclear, the film shouldn’t have any excuses not to be good. I’ve still got some faith in Spidey.

THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2 is directed by Marc Webb. It stars Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone. It is scheduled to arrive in UK cinemas on 18th April 2014 and in US cinemas on 2nd May 2014.
