Rumours have been circulating around the movie block that Mark Wahlberg may be up for coveted role of Nathan Drake in the adaptation of the video game UNCHARTED: DRAKE’S FORTUNE. And now it’s been confirmed by none other than the man himself.
Directed by David O. Russell and possibly also starring Robert De Niro and Joe Pesci, Wahlberg mentioned to MTV that he’s looking forward to working with the THREE KINGS director again:
The idea that he has is just insane. So hopefully we’ll be making that movie this summer. […] I talked to Pesci about it and I know David’s people have talked to [Robert De Niro] … I’m obviously in whatever David wants to do but the idea of it is off the charts: De Niro being my father, Pesci being my uncle. It’s not going to be the watered-down version, that’s for sure.
