LES MISERABLES could be one of this year’s big Oscar baits as it seems to tick all the right boxes. Big, dramatic adaptation of a famous musical – check, huge cast of critically acclaimed actors – check, and an Academy Award winning director – also check. Now we’ve got another poster to add to the stunning character posters that were released last month. This is another beautiful effort in my opinion. Yes, it does seem like a standard poster that seems to arrive with all releases of major Hollywood films these days, but the composition is stellar and it looks suitably dramatic with the revolution featured prominently at the bottom. LES MISERABLES is directed by Tom Hooper. It is starring Hugh Jackman, Russell Crowe, Anne Hathaway, Amanda Seyfried, Helena Bonham Carter, Sacha Baron Cohen & Eddie Redmayne. It will arrive in US cinemas on 25th December 2012 which will allow it to become Academy Award nominated, while UK cinema-goers will have to wait until 11th January 2013.
