Wolverine may have lost some fans after the abysmal X-MEN ORIGINS: WOLVERINE, but he kind of redeemed himself with his cameo in X-MEN: FIRST CLASS. With Hugh Jackman’s enthusiasm for the role, who can stay mad at the adamantium mutant? Not me, that’s for sure, and with this gorgeous looking motion poster for THE WOLVERINE, it seems as though director James Mangold has got the tone spot on. It shows Wolverine hunched over on top of a building in the pouring rain. I love the way the rain drips down his katana, and the bright lights of Tokyo in the background. The film is said to take place after the original X-Men trilogy, and will see Wolverine travel to Japan and take on The Silver Samurai.
THE WOLVERINE is released 25th July 2013 in the UK and 26th July 2013 in the US. It stars Hugh Jackman, Will Yun Lee, Hiroyuki Sanada, Brian Tee, and Svetlana Khodchenkova.

Luke likes many things, films and penguins being among them. He's loved films since the age of 9, when STARGATE and BATMAN FOREVER changed the landscape of modern cinema as we know it. His love of film extends to all aspects of his life, with trips abroad being planned around film locations and only buying products featured in Will Smith movies. His favourite films include SEVEN SAMURAI, PASSION OF JOAN OF ARC, IN BRUGES, LONE STAR, GODZILLA, and a thousand others.
