‘Upstream Color’ Trailer From The Director Of ‘Primer’

If you saw PRIMER (2004) you’ll know that Shane Carruth is more about ideas and inspiring thought than about simple narratives. The trailer for his latest effort, UPSTREAM COLOR, seems just as intriguing and bizarre. There is something very relaxing and soothing about the trailer, which comes across as more like a poem than an advertisement for a film.

PRIMER was something of a cult sensation, as it dealt with time-travel, but not in the usual science fiction orientated fashion. The official synopsis isn’t any more clearer on the film’s intentions, but check out the trailer and see how it makes you feel.

A man and woman are drawn together, entangled in the life cycle of an ageless organism. Identity becomes an illusion as they struggle to assemble the loose fragments of wrecked lives.
