Following the confirmation that Quentin Tarantino’s revisionist ‘history lessons’ INGLORIOUS BASTERDS and DJANGO UNCHAINED will form part of a trilogy, we recently learned the new upcoming effort, KILLER CROW, is in the works with a script almost complete and possibly being brought to the big-screen soon. The oscar-winning writer/director’s future project is expected to feature the return of the ruthless Nazi-hunting ‘Basterds’ in a new brutal epic centred on a band of black soldiers, looking for revenge against their own white American military officers who’ve ‘”f-ked them over”.

Writer/producer/director and actor Eli Roth, who portrayed the baseball bat-swinging Bear Jew, (or Sgt Donnie Donowitz to his friends) in INGLORIOUS BASTERDS, has commented on his possible inclusion for KILLER CROW.

I’ve known about that project for ten years, so we’ve definitely discussed it. Quentin knows I’m ready to pick up the bat. I’m always ready to pick up the bat for him if he needs it.

We’ll keep you informed as the projects develops.

UPDATE! Roth has been quick to respond directly to THN, tweeting

@thncom No. It’s a BS rumor. MTV movies blog took a jokey answer out of context and creates a story. It’s nonsense.

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
